Organized around an open central tiled courtyard, this Moorish-revival house weaves together delicate arabesque motifs with the Mediterranean influences of Palm Beach architecture. The facades are simply dressed in cream stucco and green casement windows with cast-stone columns and water table. The roof is clad in glazed green barrel tiles and terminates at a terracotta cornice inspired by traditional Spanish buildings including the Alhambra . Centered on the front garden, the main entry is on axis with a small oval pool in the rear yard. Inside, an octagonal entry hall opens to the central courtyard and the circular stair, which is wrapped by a light-filled tower to the second floor. The formal drawing room features three large French doors that open to the rear garden. A guest suite is tucked away on the first floor, with the master suite and two guest bedrooms upstairs. Bespoke ornamental elements are integral to the architecture throughout the house, including stained wood jali screens in the entry hall, zellige mosaics from Morrocco, encaustic and Iznik tile from Turkey. The interior decorator was Hugh Henry of Mlinaric Henry & Zervudachi; SMI Landscape Architecture, Inc. developed the lush gardens.
